Coffee Shops
Fuel: A great local spot with awesome coffee. They have a lot of iced coffee flavor options that you pour yourself, I love to mix a few. Their baked goods and breakfast sandwiches are great. I love the vanilla almond scone.
The Coffee Guy: A gem. You cannot go wrong with any coffee order here! It’s right near a lot of sandwich shops if you want to grab your coffee and a beach sandwich.
Queen of Cups: A fantastic coffee shop right in the pier. It’s a great spot to grab a coffee and walk the sea wall. Their house made Banana bread syrup is fantastic in a latte and a bacon, egg and cheese on a Portuguese bolo add siracha mayo (trust me) is my favorite!
Skips Café: A family owned café nestled right on the water. It is dog friendly and there is also a dog beach right down the road if you want to bring your pup. There are cute tables outside you can sit. They have multiple flavors of iced coffee that you pour yourself. One of my favorite spots to enjoy from Memorial day to Labor day!
Breakfast/Brunch
NY Bagels of RI: Your classic NY deli spot. You can grab classic bagel breakfast sandwiches and a beach sandwich with fresh boars head meat. Your classic bacon egg and cheese with hash brown on a bagel is always great. They also have stuffed bagels daily that are so special. If you have a group, grab the bakers dozen!
Bluebird Café: A locally loved sit down breakfast spot with awesome breakfast! The huevos rancheros and pancakes are really good!
Cool Beans Café: Located right next to the pier, this is a great spot to grab breakfast. I would order ahead to avoid wait times. They have awesome acai bowls!
South County Bread: One of my favorite places to get pastries ever. Do not skip the morning buns or any of their specialty croissants!
Lunch
Greenhouse: One of my favorite spots in the area. They have the best salads. You can create your own or get one of their amazing options. The salad portions are huge so it’s great to bring to the beach to snack on after your ocean dips!
George’s of Galilee: Located in the heart of Galilee, have an amazing meal while overlooking the ocean and the breachway where the fishing boats and ferry’s pass through. Their summer sushi is so fresh, I look forward to it’s return each year. I also love their fish tacos!
Crazy Burger Café & Juice Bar: A gem that was featured on Diners Drive Inn’s and Dive’s. Their breakfast, lunch and juices are all great. I love the sesame orange chix salad, mad mexi-skins, the fire “works” burger and the whassupy burger.
Surfside Deli: A great option for a beach sandwich! They have a large menu with great selections. I love the buffalo chicken wrap, they use fresh chicken cutlets!
Island Deli: A locally loved spot that has amazing breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Definitely order ahead. I love the wicked willow and the el niko add chicken cutlet.
Dinner
Monahans: If you go anywhere, go here. Right on the water with outdoor seating, a bar and a ice cream shop. Be prepared to wait in a line though, it does move fast. I have loved everything I’ve tried on the menu. My go to meals are the lobster roll, popcorn shrimp, the fish tacos and clam cakes & chowder.
Tsunama: One of my favorite sushi places ever. There is outdoor and indoor dining. Whatever you get, it will be good. I love the Nama crisps (half tuna/half salmon), scallion pancakes, creamy pad thai, Allie’s roll and dragon king roll.
Coast Guard House: A classic Narragansett spot right on the water. There is not a bad view. They have a couple outdoor and indoor bars. My favorite place to dine is the Anchor Room upstairs. Do not skip the seafood pasta special of the night or desserts!
Matunuck Oyster Bar: One of Rhode Island’s favorite restaurants. Right on the water with awesome roof deck seating. They have an oyster farm where they are bringing fresh oysters in from. You can take an oyster farm tour! The classic dish that everyone loves is the blackened yellow fin tuna. Other stand outs are the New England clam chowder, calamari, caesar salad add lobster salad and the penne pesto add seared salmon.
Celeste: A coastal European restaurant in the pier. They have an awesome outdoor area bar and dining area. I love the whipped feta, calamari, blue cheese salad and the romesco cod.
Champlin’s: A classic seafood spot on the water in Galilee. The fishing boats are bringing in fresh fish all day. Great spot for kids. Do not skip the seafood platter (perfect for two), the baked scallops or the baked stuffed cod. Substitute sweet potato fries for your side!
Purslane: A beloved spot right next to Brickley’s on Main St in Wakefield. One of my favorite spots to grab lunch or dinner. The salad, tuna crudo, smash burger, chicken sandwich and fries with garlic aioli are all great.
Plum Pt Bistro: A cozy spot with great outdoor seating. I love the yellowfin tuna tartare, any of the handmade pastas, house breaded chicken cutlets and the charbroiled bistro steak.
Bars
Seacraft: A great spot with Adirondack chairs and firepits right on the seawall. One of my favorite spots to sit outside and sip a crisp glass of rose.
Chair 5: A rooftop bar with live music some nights. They have great drinks and a great water front view!
Coast Guard House: They have two outdoor bar options that are overlooking the water. Awesome specialty drinks and classic cocktails.

Late Night Bars
Ocean Mist: Live music and right on the water.
Bon Vue Inn: Live music and waterfront.
Takeout
On Point Pizza: Our go to spot for pizza. We love everything but our favorites are the General tso’s pizza, the Ron Swanson (off menu Detroit style pizza with pepperoni, ricotta and hot honey) and the white broccoli.
Jayd Bun: Voted number 2 on yelp’s national list of the top 100 Chinese restaurants. Get the buns!!! If you are looking for a rainy day activity, bring your takeout over to Whaler’s brewing next door.
Gansett Wraps: A great spot to get a quick bite or beach food. A Mediterranean style menu that includes options for everyone. I love the caesar wrap add crispy chicken, the chicken kabob and the pita chips & hummus.
Aunt Carrie’s: An 103 year old family owned traditonal seafood spot. They are famous for their clam cakes and chowder but don’t skip the strawberry shortcake.
Iggy’s: Another true Rhode Island classic. Also known for their clam cakes and chowder. You won’t want to skip the doughboys though, I get them with a mix of sugar.
