This past weekend, a few of my girlfriends and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Royce on Pelham and saying it was incredible would be an understatement. It’s easily one of the most stylish, thoughtfully designed places I’ve ever experienced. Perfectly situated in the heart of Newport, you’re just a short walk from everything.
The Royce features two distinct properties: On Pelham and On Spring. Both share a beautifully landscaped courtyard complete with multiple dining tables, lounge chairs, and two cozy fire pit areas perfect for morning coffee or winding down in the evening.
We stayed at The Royce on Pelham, a spacious home featuring 7 bedrooms, 9 beds, and 7.5 bathrooms, comfortably sleeping up to 14 guests. One major perk? On-site parking for 13 cars, a huge advantage during Newport’s busy summer season when parking is nearly impossible to find.
I stayed in the Mermaid Suite, and if I could copy and paste that room into my own home, I would in a heartbeat. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the space was filled with natural light, tastefully decorated, and the bathroom was stunning. There was even a cozy sitting area, ideal for morning coffee or getting ready with friends. This suite also doubles perfectly as a bridal suite.
My friends stayed in the Whale Suite and the Sanctuary Suite, and both were just as beautifully curated.
The kitchen and butler’s pantry were fully stocked with everything you could possibly need: every type of glassware, place settings, coffee, tea, multiple ice options, a champagne bucket, cooking essentials, bottled water, and even San Pellegrino. There’s also an Alexa in the kitchen that syncs with the first-floor rooms for music.
We spent one evening in the living room, cozied up by the fireplace, watching a rom-com. The room’s unique wallpaper alone makes it feel like you’ve stepped into an Architectural Digest spread.
Other highlights included the elegant parlor and dining room, but the real surprise showstopper? The half bath on the first floor. Trust me, once you see it, you’ll understand.
Another unforgettable part of the stay was the exclusive yacht charter offered by The Royce. We were taken out on the HCB 53, a sleek, luxurious vessel that made us feel like we were in a movie. Cruising Newport at sunset? Pure magic.
As I mentioned, the location is unbeatable. We walked over to Bowen’s Wharf for dinner at Clarke Cooke House, grabbed some summer sushi at their outdoor tables, and the walk took less than five minutes.
We left feeling completely refreshed, recharged, and already dreaming about our next trip back. Every detail from the stunning design and high-end amenities to the unbeatable location and warm hospitality made our stay unforgettable.
Right now you are able to fully rent out either house or the full complex! Whether you’re planning a girls’ getaway, a family trip, a bridal weekend, or just looking for a luxe home base in Newport, The Royce is the kind of place that elevates your entire experience. It’s more than just a place to stay, it’s a destination in itself. Thoughtful touches, curated spaces, and a setting that effortlessly blends comfort and style make it truly stand out. If you want a stay that feels special, seamless, and stylish, The Royce should absolutely be at the top of your list.
